Real Brides: Courtney L.

I meet my husband Robbert at Auburn University in 2008 while he was a graduate student and I was an undergraduate. He was recruited from Belgium to play tennis for Auburn. After graduating, Robert moved to Ojai, California to work for Weil Tennis Academy while I went back home to Georgia to work for CB Richard Ellis and we continued our relationship long-distance. On our two-year anniversary Robbert surprised me by visiting me and caught me by surprise by proposing that evening. Two weeks after our engagement Robbert's visa was denied and he was sent back to Belgium because he was overqualified for his employment. Distraught over the thought of having to spend another day apart we researched and persevered in finding a way to stay together. After countless Skype calls, a mountain of visa paper work, and round trip flights between Atlanta and Brussels, Robbert was able to return to the US on a a Fiancé Visa. We reunited and finally married on September 10, 2011. Our journey was worth the wait and now we truly live happily ever after in Atlanta, Georgia! Finding the perfect dress was a much easier journey. It was PERFECT and I received countless compliments.
Bride Courtney wore a Val Stefani Bridal style.
