Real Brides: Myranda
It was the summer of 2020, at the height of COVID, when I felt an unexplainable pull to leave San Diego and move somewhere new. With California shut down and a lifelong love of country music in my heart, Nashville felt like the right place, even before I could fully explain why. While visiting to look at apartments and meet new people, I attended a small house party where I spotted Buddy sitting at a table playing a card game. Something about him stood out immediately. I walked over, introduced myself, and asked him to teach me the game. From that moment on, we talked nonstop. The next day, I messaged him on Instagram and not long after, I made the move to Nashville. My first weekend in Nashville, we took a trip to Gatlinburg, where he asked me to be his girlfriend and the rest truly is history.
I always knew I wanted a strapless, fitted gown with a long train that sparkled endlessly in the sun, something timeless that truly felt like me. When I tried on the Carmen dress, I instantly fell in love but told myself I needed to keep my options open. But even as I continued trying on other dresses, it was the one I couldn’t stop thinking about. Nothing compared. The Carmen made me feel confident, elegant, and completely myself, and I’m so glad I trusted that feeling because it truly was the dress of a lifetime.
