My husband and I met when we were 12 and 14 years old at a Halloween party hosted by our community group. We were best friends for years and didn’t start dating until much later.

I tried on dozens of dresses and visited so many bridal shops. I had tried on this gown before but didn’t choose it initially because of the budget. But weeks—and even months—later, I couldn’t stop thinking about that gorgeous train. Out of all the dresses I saw, it was by far the most dramatic and glamorous. I knew I had to go for it—there wouldn’t be another dress that made me feel the same way. I’ve been so happy with my decision and received so much amazing feedback on my dress. It truly felt like me—over the top, but not too much.
