Real Brides: Marah

My husband and I met just out of coincidence. We both happened to be hanging around with separate friends at their communal apartment pool, in Golden, CO. We got to talking and found that we had both moved to Denver the previous spring from our shared hometown of Fort Wayne, IN. As if that wasn’t crazy enough, we had both attended the same college, and we only lived a block a part from one another in Denver. We both feel that our intertwining history lead us to that perfect moment to meet that afternoon. I went into my dress shopping “open” but knew I wanted crepe fabric with a relaxed look. When I put on this lace dress, the room kind of froze. It seemed as if everyone around me knew something I didn’t. I wasn’t in love with the sheer bodice, but Sheri (who is AMAZING, from Casa Bianca Bridal) knew that this dress could be altered exactly how I wanted it. They were sisters she told me, that loved each dress they made together. She placed a white fabric into the bodice, and that was it for me. I immediately had tears in my eyes as I walked around the store, it just felt right. I added buttons down the back and changed the skirt color to white. Once it was done, it fit perfectly and looked like my dream dress I never even knew that I needed.
