Real Brides: Chelsie

Chris & I met working at Nordstroms, he worked in kids shoes, I was in kids wear. I pretty much helped him get his first sale! It all started on one lunch break ...to subway believe or not. That was all we had time for on our break so we bonded over our love for avocado LOL! It still makes me laugh. We started dating and really hit it off, little did we know it we lived 10 min from each other and went to rival high schools but never crossed paths. We dated for 6 years and he finally tricked me and popped the question in one of our favorite spots, Laguna Beach. I went to Mon Amie Bridal Aalon in Costa Mesa with my mom, I knew I wanted something similar to this Berta gown I found on Pinterest and loved since 2015 but was way out of my price range. Moonlight bridal was at Mon Amie having their new year trunk show, showcasing their new 2018 gowns. I had the best sales girl Jessica who I still talk to about how amazing my dress experience was to this day! I showed her pictures of what I was looking for, I thought I wanted more of a mermaid style but wayyy too hard to walk in! We went around the store looking at dresses and she pulled this Val Stefani Bridal dress, I was like ok lets try it on. Right when I put it on, granted it was my 2nd dress I ever tried, I fell in love. I loved all the beaded detailing and the low cut font. I met the owners that day too and their faces lit up when I walked out in it. I actually wanted a 2 in 1 dress so they loved the idea of me adding on a thin tulle skirt just in the back not letting the front detail go to waist. That day I said Yes to the Dress and totally teared up. I ended up buying the tulle that my mom made my skirt and veil but ended up not even wearing the tulle skirt because it was so effortless with the dress + veil, it was my boho dream dress! goes to show you never know what style you truly want until you try different style dresses on!
